Two renowned filmmakers to work together

Reza Attaran speaks of new project with Mehran Modiri.

In a recent interview, actor and director Reza Attaran mentioned a possible reunion with fellow award-winning actor and director Mehran Modiri.

According to Attaran, “After a long break, we’re looking into working on a new project with Mehran Modiri,” adding, “it does not matter which one of us is the director. What’s important is that we work together.”

The ‘Right on Time’ actor went on to express his sentiments for Mehran Modiri stating that “we have been friends since the time we used to work together.”

Attaran, who kicked off his acting career in 1982 by entering the world of theater, began his first project in Mehran Modiri’s 1993 film ‘Flight 57’.

He would later gain fame for his role in the 1994 television series ‘Happy Hour’, also directed by Mehran Modiri.

The very next year, Attaran would star in yet another series directed by Modiri titled ‘Happy Year’.

Attaran has also had numerous ifilm appearances including 'No Men Allowed', 'The Sting and the Bee', 'Sweet and Sour', and 'The Corridor'.

Modiri, who began acting in plays at a young age, attended Tehran University’s Faculty of Art.

The Iranian film industry veteran’s works have had regular appearances on ifilm’s broadcast schedule.

His resume includes appearances in ‘Parent Problems’ and ‘The Cherry Garden’ as an actor, ‘The Grand Prize’ and ‘The Man With a Thousand Faces’ as actor and director, as well as ‘The Gathering’ as the show’s host.
